Simple Music Button with Real Equalizer

This button allows you to have unlimited number of songs playing in your web.
The songs are loaded in streaming mode by a XML file, and the list of songs loop when the last song ends.
The colors can be configured by XML too, so you don’t need to compile the fla to make it run. You can resize it too.

This Flash only can be edited with Flash CS3 9 .0 version.
The equalizer bars are real, interact with the music. You can choose 1 or 2 channels. When you select 1 channel, the bars don’t represent only 1 channel, represent both channels added.
Click on the letters to stop/play the music.

yes, it’s easy to do this, you only have to edit the fla and remove the text sprite and the AS lines that refer to it, and asign the button events to the equalizer sprite

Great script ! However I’m trying to use it in a AS2 environment and ofcourse I got a lot of errors and troubles…have you got a solution or some lines I need to modify to make it work ?

Same as above. I would like to use with flash 8. I know that 9 has the sound functions for the equalizer, but I don’t need it. I wouldn’t mind modifying it to work in 8 if the objects for the equalizer are fairly separated from the rest of the code. I really just need a play button for a single file and would design the interface buttons etc.

Hello – I just purchased your “Simple Music Button with Real Equalizer” file and Iâ€™m a little confused on how to make it work. This would be because I’m new to Flash and I am learning as I go. I was hoping that there would be details instructions when I downloaded the file. Please if I’m not asking too much would it be possible for you to explain to me how to make one song play using your button – or perhaps point me in the right direction? I am using Flash CS3 .

AS3 Real Time EQ with On-Off Music Button

1. Very handy AS3 audio application. Easy to use and edit.

2. This file does not come with an MP3 so make sure you put an MP3 file in the same folder as the FLA . and XML files.

3. Actionscript code has a lot of Spanish (I think) with the commenting English. It is very easy to understand even if you don’t speak spanish.

4. XML and Help files are in English.

How can I keep it “off” by default? Is there anyway to add that to the xml file – or the object tag I’m embeding it with? Or does that need to be edited in the .fla file? Thanks!

Or make it so when the user navigates from page to page their preferred setting (off or on) is honored? As it stands now, by default, the user has to click it “off” on each page – if that’s their preference! That’s no good!

Hi! Love the player! However…

I’m building a searchable library database in Flash. Users can search the database and it will return a list of results that are related to their search. Once they click on a particular song title, it will display all kinds of information about it (genre, instrumentation, etc). There’s also a field for “file location” that I want to use to point to the song’s actual file. I’m trying to then send that file location variable to the player, but I’m having all sorts of problems, and not really sure where to start. Any suggestions?
