Dynamic image / SWF banner rotator with XML .

You can change:
  • First visible item,
  • Button location (top | bottom),
  • Button positions (left | center | right),
  • Rounded corner radius in pixel,
  • Slide speed,
  • Padding of buttons and content,
  • Name and description backgrounds alpha/opacity,
  • Duration / delay time of each item,
  • Url and url targets (_blank | _parent | _self | _top),
  • Multiline description textfield.

I created buttons as vector in flash. They can be changed easily.

You can use it as a swf banner rotator without name-description by leaving them empty.

I can’t see Arabic letters on your file. But, I need to test another gallery. I’ll test this also.

Question—I need to add a background image to the file and then dynamically load in transparent pngs. How would I replace the default background color with an image?

I am wondering if there would be an easy way to make this banner start out as a button/bar and on mouse over/click it would expand/grow left and then the slideshow would start?

@knezea: You need to set radius=”0” from XML and wMode=”transparent” from HTML . If you have a problem with it, please mail me.

@ChristinaRicci: You just need to write swf filename into image fields.

@mazoo: I tested Arabic letters with other gallery. I just need to embed Arabic to texts and then, add that code to your PHP file:

header(“Content-Type:text/html; charset=UTF-8”;); putenv(“LANG=ar_LB.UTF8”;); setlocale(LC_ALL, “ar_LB.UTF8”;);

This is Lebanese but you can change “ar_LB” to your Arabic.

Hi

Ok I tried that but still the swf file just flashes?

I checked the swf file alone without banner and it is working?

I am not sure what to do except revert to image use only but would rather incorporate video clips as well

The flash 8 version does not seem to work correctly. The name field does not show up and I get a can’t open URL error all without editing a thing.

yeah, but for the flash 8 file.. the name field does not work at all. If you run it the name is blank. It only picks up the description from the xml

Question: When it gets to the last banner, it quickly slides to the right through all the banners to get to the first one. Is it possible for it not to do that? I want it to continually slide the banners in the same direction (left) all the time if possible.

It uses x coordinate direction AS. I’ll look at to do it so.
