great file…Can I call and the trigger the effect with a _x and _y instead of the mouse position? And can the smoke go up?

Yes I think you can do that(if you know the code)although I haven’t tested it.You may want to contact me through my profile email.The smoke can indeed go up,it’s easy to change.

Is there a way to use this effect as part of an animation (Ex: coming off the end of a cigarette) instead of just as a mouse trail effect?
This is the coolest, most realistic smoke effect I’ve seen in Flash.
