“Full XML Website V3” is an application that enables anyone to create a flash website without much knowledge of flash programming. Coming from V2 we brought to this version amazing features including the possibility to add new modules/SWF files.

Navigation Menu
The navigation menu will automatically adapt to the number of pages or swf files you insert in the website by adding a scroll bar to the navigation menu. This way is possible to add to the menu as many links and sub links as you wish. You can test this feature by resizing the website to a smaller height than the navigation menu.

Background Image / Texture
The background Carbon texture is a tiled image imported from an external swf file. This means that you can resize this website to any resolution and the background will not be pixilated or distorted and will still always fill the background. This is a very special feature because it solves the problem of having a professional looking background image when resizing the website. We also included a radial black gradient that will hide the tiled effect creating the idea of a single background image. Fullscreen
This website will adapt to any screen resolution no matter the size of the screen. In all sections the contents are going to get into the right position, as well as the navigation menu and background image.

HTML formatting
All text contents can be formatted with HTML tags. In this sense you can format text just like we did on this document. All green titles are using the tag to format the color and size. Only the title on each page is formatted by the application. All these contents are supplied in the package file so you will get some examples of how to format your text. You can also add links in any content page.

Long Text
If the text doesn’t fit in this window a mouse scroll animation will be added to this page based on the mouse position. This way you’ll be able to scroll through all text. You can test this feature by resizing the browser window to a point where the text no longer fits the screen.

Image Gallerys
With this website you can add multiple image galleries and infinite images in each gallery. You can add or edit images or images galleries by editing a XML file. One important feature in the image gallery is that it is full screen and it’s using the Bitmap Class so that the images never get pixilated or distorted, no matter the screen resolution. The galley is an external Swf file. You can download more Image Galleries from Flashden at http://www.flashden.net/collections/35729-fxwv3-modules.

HD Videos
With this website you can add infinite flv videos. Each time you add a new video player the navigation menu will create a new link in the navigation menu. You can add or edit videos by editing a simple XML file. We adapted the video screen to the HD resolution now starting to get common in most video websites. If you wish you can change the video size. You’ll have to edit the fla file supplied with this package. The video player is an external Swf file. You can download more video players from Flashden at http://www.flashden.net/collections/35729-fxwv3-modules.

News Page
With this website you can add infinite articles to your news list. You can add or edit articles by editing a simple XML file. The news page is an external Swf file. You can download more video players from Flashden at http://www.flashden.net/collections/35729-fxwv3-modules.

Hi Triworks (and everyone else)

two questions: how can I prompt for latest Flash version (all browsers)

Is there a way to make the video start to play as it is buffering? currently it waits til the whole video is buffered to start (mine are about 40 megs, which takes a while) And if there is more than one video in the xml list, it waits for all of them to buffer before starting to play.

How do I make the sub menus hold? I tried doing what the manual said and it doesn’t work. You know hwo in v2 in the gallery sub menu they stay in one place? That’s what I’m talking about.

Hi Triworks (and everyone else), I’ve a problem.

If I want to use the internet links, for example in the xmlNews: http://www.garanteprivacy.it I’ve to add the application in the Adobe Flash Player global security setting.

But when I add (/Users/Andrea/Desktop/Main Files/xmlNews.swf) the application in the Adobe Flash Player security setting pan, the links I’ve created work, but the application no more:

The menu doesn’t work (the xmlNews.swf doesn’t disappear when I click in an other label of the menu)

If I delete (/Users/Andrea/Desktop/Main Files/xmlNews.swf) in the Adobe Flash Player global security setting pan, the application works properly, but the internet links in the xmlNews.swf no more.

I WOULD LIKE A BAR ON THE RIGHT SIDE .. not just on the left.. any ideas? what codes need to be changed .. also.. i tried making my own bar on the right and it wont move.. it moves in another swf file.. but on the template site it does not move! THE LOGO is STUCK in the middle.. wont move out of the middle.. i move it up but it does not stay there. when i add more then just a logo it doesn’t key out when the transition happens. it goes back to the center!! how can i just embed my own swf as the background??? what is the code

I have added a link on to the home page. When tabbing through input boxes on the contacts page, it seems to pick up this button from the home page, highlighting it in bright yellow. Is there a way to get it not to see this button once you have left the home page?

hatch663: Did you change the color of the button(s)? If you did, that’s what’s causing that problem. Go to Library Object PART1 , and go to the layer back. Don’t change the color of the 1-9th frame, and don’t change the color of the very last frame, the 37th frame. Do the same in the titleMenu object. That should fix it. If your background is black, then make the 1-9th frame of the homepage transition black.

No, we don’t have a MP3 player in our portfolio compatible with V3. We’re planning to separate the one we’ve in the Elite Template as a single module.

You can change the menu _x position when accessing the function loadMenu() in the layer ‘functions’ of the ‘main.fla’ file. The instance of the menu object is called ‘menu’. Good work.

Yes, you can use CSS in flash. Nevertheless, we cannot give you support on that issue as it is not included in the package. Please check the support manual to access to related information in the web.

It does not wait the whole video but the needed buffer time to start playing with a good margin and see the video at once.

The language adaptation is already an old problem. The answer is yes, it supports any language. Nevertheless, not everyone was able to make these changes although the process is simple and it is explained in the support manual included in the package. Depending on the language selected and compatibility with the font used among other factors it should work.

We cannot give support on the left bar you’re trying to include. It’s not a feature included in the package.

The logo is controlled to stay in the middle by default and on resize browser.

Check for information about the background on the support manual.

Can I change my default homepage?
No. This template needs to have a homepage like the example described. You can edit the content of the homepage.

Hi Triworks, I didn’t have the time to congratulate myself with you yet, so I am doing it now. You seem to be the most professional poster here on flashden, i like your quick replies.

By the way, I just bought your Elite template and i am downloading it now, as for my last post xml version 3 template, i read the manual but i still couldn’t find a way to make a “long text page” the first page that appears, instead of my logo. It has become allmost a matter of life and death for me now..since i have 2 days to deadline.

The Full Xml Website V3 logo inside the ‘main.fla’ file. It’s not called by xml and it’s not an external swf file. What happens is that you cannot define a new homepage unless you enter the ‘main.fla’ and instead of the logo insert new contents. We know it’s a limitation of navigation control but that’s the way it was developed. If you need to control your whole navigation, including the hompage module, Elite Template is your best option.

Hi triworks. I love the template however the only negative I can find is that it does not work with my flvs once placed on FTP . I’ve tried re-encoding them several times, using different ftp clients, encoders, and settings but they still do not work. Some say it must be the coding of the template but I couldn’t see anything wrong with it personally. Would you have any suggestions for me?
