The file as some tricks not letting the texture overlap the gradient. This could be easily with two swf files but we code it to be as simple as it can gets. I think that’s some merit in it! In other tile examples we can see the texture replicating. In here we don’t realize that but it is happening.

ik just bought this file and placed it in my site. But now i cant get it to go to the bg and it keeps going over all my other attached movies.

How can i get it to go under these items???

Same issue here as dimi3 – I love the work too – and I think I was the first to purchase this – however – I agree with fisch79 – jwg – - wildwise – these are kinda pricey for what you do get. It would be nice to have a few little extras with it for 6.00 – I like the other two bg’s you have posted tri – but they too don’t offer much in way of value when compared to others. Look towards the future though.

At the least – how about some invisible string to tighten them up!!! Its all about the modules and what kind of – neat – little – selling – features – they have contained within them. Some fluid BG animations would be great for 6.00.

As well – How about the easy ability to change the color range within the BG to give it a multi page purpose. Something which allows for differentiation within is allowable limits to be useful within a site. Maybe make it so that there are several- like 7 different colors which can be made by simply clicking on the BG color for which page the BG will be assigned too.

andrelatino – he did a very nive job on this. Notice how he made use of the BG’s ability to change its color with the different BG’s associated with each click before the return to the main area.

If there is any one mod to make to the Mods concept – simple cart – backgrounds that change color or have the ability to change. – Like this very BG on this page – maybe a nice deep rich tan – burnt orange sunset – deep purple you can listen to some deep purple (perfect strangers – its a song) sorry – got away from myself for a sec. Dark sea rich blue – hot pink cotton candy swirl – transparent white with perfect gray shading etc….

A background that does this kind of features and be a drag and drop mod – you will sell hundreds of these at 6.00 bux all day long. – x

Thank you drmedia1; We will think about creating some diferent things. These first ones was just to help everyone to personalize their fullXMLwebsite.

We also uploaded more 2 diferent tiled backgrounds, but it was refused by FlashDen. They say they can’t have more than 3 files of the same type. This means that we can’t send more design alternatives to the template. We sent an e-mail lets see what happens.

You can make any kind if background for any reason

- even if it has a similar look and feel

- your trying to tell me that the flash den wants to put a LIMIT on the number of items anyone could make for any one of there product ideas? Is that what your saying here?

If thats the case – this is a real problem!

Remove the other two that are not selling and repost your new work.

I do however have a serious issue with limiting anyone persons work who creates matching or connecting component works. WTF is that all about?

Actually we have some others in stock here in our server ready to upload but, FD says that the files are the same because the code is the same. At Triworks we think that creating a new theme even with the same code is acceptable because most of these kind of requests come from buyers. Unfortunately we canâ€™t send more than 3 versions of the same file.

Hi Gopic; You can either export the image from the flash library or replace it with another image.

Hi dimi3; You are using the background swf as your main file for your site. Instead you should create a new file for your main website and import the background as a background layer.

Simple solution then – make one background file that has the ability to change multiple colors. Remove one of the two files that is not selling well and simply add it to the master file and repost.

This kind of product prohibition is a really ridiculous notion from the Den masters. Its counter productive and leaves a bad taste in the members mouths. I really don’t by into this reasoning at all. I cannot stand excuses especially really poor excuses.

As far as background files are concerned – they need to have some meat on the bones – 6 dollars and up is a high price for a simple mod that really does not do much and offers paltry complications and hassles to use. Not a good combination.

More value – less rush to get products out in multiple versions to close together in time and products that are actual FLASH swf driven on a site called flash den. The biggest concern is poor documentation for really basic things and to many links to buy more products instead of real substance for the buyer.

Hmmm…Triworks normally does great work…but as a purchaser of this file, I didn’t care for this one much. Not sure how to use it I guess. I would like to give it zero stars but I will refrain from rating as it could simply be a “user-error”.

This file was developed aiming integration in other files. Don’t know what kind of use do you expect to give it but it’s as simple as a flash background. Please let us know what were your expectations and what limitations do you think the file has.

You can substitute the image by a transparent .png and then include an image below it.

The code is very small and if you have knowledge in AS3 then you’ll change it easily.

This background is a tiled one which means that you’ve a tile that is repeated in a cycle until it fills the whole stage. If you want to use only one image you just have to resize it fullscreen. The width and height of the image must be equal to the width and height of the stage. Good work!

Hello I’m having the same problem, what do you mean with importing the background as background layer? I created a file that loads the BG in the level 1 and then a menu in level 2, it works but it send the menu to the top left corner… any thoughts on how to center it, I’m not very good with AS… Thanks! =)

This happens because the background code uses the nextHighestDepth.
The alternative and correct way of doing this is to use 2 independent files. The main.fla and the background.fla. Inside the main.fla you’ve to create a movieclip to where you load the external file, background.swf. Place the layer of that movieclip, inside the main.fla, beneath them all. Doing this, the background is isolated and doesn’t overlay the contents.

Oh so that’s what it is, you put the less information and comments you can in the code so when people don’t know what is what, they hire you for some freelance work.

As you may understand I’m buying your background because I’m a graphic designer not a programmer otherwise I would code it myself.

For future buyers, there’s no information on how to integrate this background to existing projects which makes it at least for me USELESS , be aware!

Maybe you should read our FAQ . It will help you understand our point of view on FlashDen and clarify your thoughts on this issue.

We sell a separate file that has the simple hability to replicate a tile until it fills the stage creating a background. It’s not our duty to help you integrate isolated files in your website. Our duty is to give you support on the file itself and, in case you didn’t notice, there’s a manual that explains you to do all the actions that you may need to do in this package.

We sell files on FlashDen with certain habilities. If buyers need customization that expands the contents and characteristics of the basic package then we’re available to do it.
