TILED BLUE DIAGONAL BACKGROUND
File developed with: Action Script 2 [AS2]
Features
This is a full screen tiled background texture for your website. It doesn’t look tiled because we use a radial gradient layer to hide the tiled effect. You can resize your browser window to any resolution; the tile will automatically replicate to fill your screen.

Hi VizeMedia; you can change the gradient gfx inside FLA and replace the tiled image.

Wow! This is awesome if it wasn’t completely ripped off from the free tile background tutorial that Kirupa.com has had on their site for a long time.
Just go to Kirupa.com and search for “Duplicate Background”. It has the EXACT same code line by line. Even the stripes aren’t vectorized, which I could have generated for free from the stripgenerator.

it is not a complete rip off => the file you are referring to does not have the added gradient effect, and only applies to the size of the original flash file. It doesn’t apply to full screen.
So the file has additional value (I purchased another full screen bg file). Whether it is worth 6usd or not, well, some will appreciate it, others don’t. That’s how it goes, can’t please all all of the time aye
Hi twinsin
The way to do a tiled background is by attaching images in a loop, pretty basic for any programmer. Our example is scalable and also includes a gradient and a pattern image designed at Triworks.net. We also searched for any other example on kirupa to see if someone copied our code to create a tutorial but we found none.
Right now we don’t see where our tiled backgrounds can infringe any kind of copyright as it is basic AS code used millions of times.
Most of the things we do is by using flash help, which might be found being used on any tutorial. Our design, ideas and code is original and distributed by flashden with no kind of license limitation.
We also think that tutorials are free to be used by any programmer, as it is a part of the process of learning, and the copyright is connected with what a developer creates with its knowledge in a final product. A lot of tutorials by FD policy can’t be sold but the copyright in general terms permit the use of tutorials to produce new applications by changing it to your needs. By doing this you create a new copyrighted file.
To infringe the copyright policy of a tutorial you would have to sell the tutorial itself. Not the code. On the kirupa example we would have to write and sell a book or a cd with kirupas examples to infring their copyright.
