This is an useful set of 30 masks for your images transition (banners, galleries or slideshows).
Very easy to use and set.
Besides the classical way to apply masks, a nice & simple example is in the code of this sample.
You can use your own shapes for a specific transition.
Only about 2.5 Kb average for each mask.

Nice work! Sorry but need to ask a silly question before I purchase. I am not that well versed in Flash
Can I use images of any size? Or do I have to use the same size as what you have shown? How do I basically get this to work with my images which are 600 pixels x 400 pixels?

Can you tell me if this can be used for images of any size?
Asking because there was another transition file in Flash Den, users were complaining that it could not be resized or customized.
Need to know this before I purchase-

whizzz: sure you can resize the masks as you wish. Actually the masks were created at 600×400. The mask can be resized easily on the stage if you are applying the mask manually, or by modifying the movieclip’s width and height in which the mask is loaded . An example on how to do this is in the code of the commercial file.

I bought the file… but can you suggest me how to actually use it? I mean, it’s pretty useless to publish it the way it is. What I’d like to achieve is to make a gallery of images, I don’t want users to have control on the timing or type of effect.
I would like 5 seconds pause between let’s say 5 images with 1 particular effect being applied.
Can someone guide me?

Actually what I want to do is to create a slide show, using any one transition, the first image first comes into view with the masking effect. After that fully loads, the second one loads with the masks, while the image below is still visible. Very much like what you have above, but no manual controls.

Hi, Thanks snow cat. Actually I am more interested in the entire collection, plus I am not that keen on XML .
What I basically wanted to know, how easy is this to customize for me in Flash. I do know some Flash.
For eg. I have two images, size 500×400. I want to use one of your masks(mask 1), on them. The first image appears with mask 1, then the second one loads on that with the same mask.
How easy is this to do for me? I know basic Flash. Use Flash 8 pro.
Am asking because I earlier bought something like this from Flash Den, but I had problems customizing it, the seller has not yet been able to help me.

It’s very easy to do what you said. You simply have to set the chosen mask on the stage to 500×400 and apply the mask in 2 simple steps, as you may already know.

What about changing the speed, making it faster or slower, also size of mask shapes, etc? Is that easy to customize also? I presume the help file contains all this info?

Snow cat, I am still very much interested in purchasing this. But I may need some help after I purchase as I do not know much of AS.
My movie dimensions are 1024×768, need to have this masking effect in a movie clip inside this main movie. The masking movie clip with your effect will then be dragged onto the main timeline from the library.
My images are 600×400. The background is first plain, then the first image starts to appear via the masks. After the first image finishes loading, immediately then the second image starts to appear on that image, via the same mask.
Can you help with the AS of this? Or is this mentioned in your help file?
Sorry for asking so many questions, its just that I purchased something similar, also from Flash Den, but could not customize it, the seller did not help much also. So I do not want to waste my money again. I just need to get this customized for myself.

whizzz: I’m sorry but I cannot provide the desired support. Using masks requires a basic knowledge. What you want to achieve it’s very easy but I will not be able to help you if you get stuck. tsaopeter: you’ll have to simply change the document’s width and height with Ctrl+J (of the “banner rotator.fla” file) and the bannerWidth and bannerHeight variables (located in the “banner rotator.fla”, on the first layer, in Actions panel)

Except where explicitly stated this file is entirely the work of snowcat. The author has indicated that any images / sounds / video / flash used which are not the author's work have been appropriately licensed for resale.
Think this file has infringed someone else's copyright?
