TWO LEVEL XML ACCORDION MENU

Features:

  • XML driven flash accordion menu
  • This accordion menu has two levels – unlimited amount of categories with an unlimited amount of sub-categories.
  • Use the XML file to add categories and sub-categories
  • When a sub-category is pressed you can either target a URL or frame labels within a movieclip – links set in the XML file.

Nice menu. 2 questions for anyone that bought this…

1> If the menu is used in a page, and the link opens up in the same window, does the menu go back to closed? That is, say I navigate to another page from a link in the submenu – might look strange if the menu “closes” (reloads in default closed position).

2> Is the size of the flash static or is it taller when the submenus are opened?

I have the same question as yuchien, I have some first level buttons that I need to have linkable. Such as a contact page and a blog section. Is there a way to recode so that my first level buttons can link as well?

Hi! =)

is there a bug or how can this be solved :

after defining in AS the property _self for targeting window via

getURL(object.link, “_self”;) and than calling link defined in xml file via

this DOES WORK in

MAC firefox and Safary, but it just refesh the page and doesnt even move it to the appropriate anchor link.

i used swfobject.js code to display swf data on the site, so embeeded looks like :

var so = new SWFObject(“gw_menu_left.swf?active=aboutus”, “frontFlash88”, “238”, “600”, “6”;); so.addParam(“menu”, “false”;); so.addParam(“wmode”, “transparent”;); so.write(“testme”;);

(the active=aboutus variable is just a call to a different frame with diff. xml file import)

Any idea, why this is working smooth on Mac but not in any browser inside Windows?

wow total distress!! so this works on mac, but not in windows. whole point. solution exist? otherwise, i have to find another flash menu like this, if anyone knows and suggest? since i can’t use jsquary accordion since it somehow dont go along with thickbox calls which are displayed above the flash site content, so the flash accordion menu is the only solution..

all fixed, it was a local thing.. when uploaded to webserver all works in both platforms..

how can i add links to root label menu example : i don’t want to have any sub link for “flash” so i scripted like this :

hello,

I need a submenu only for one button in the menu so when i delete the 2nd levels for all the other buttons, the buttons shift one pixel down when i click on them

how can i fix that?

i like you product however i have added the modified version to my site and uploaded the preview.swf and the menu.xml files and nothing is happening. works great on my computer but when uploaded to the site all the tags say “undefined”. Any suggestions?
