when i downloaded the file it says that its a rar file.. i thought this was a fla file.. need help on getting to know how to use this actionscript.

.rar means it’s a compressed file, like .zip, .hqx, etc, envious…...
u need to get stuff it expander to open it… if you are on a mac
dont know if you are using windows or other…

ok. sorry I couldnt answer you before. the thing is that this file like all other files on flashden, is compressed file. you have to decompress it with “rar” .. its an aplication to compress and uncomress files. what you did is that you tried to open it with photoshop. thats why its opening photoshop when you try to open it.. you have to change the file atribute to open it with “rar”. and ofcorse you should have that aplication installed on your computer.. I think that was so unfare of you to rate my file so low in order to learn how to manipulate the file… thanx anyways…

When I use this effect twice (two clips on sep timelines, but viewable same time) I only have one working correctly. The 2nd typewriter has its text cut in half… what to do to avoid this? Thanks

there’s no problem to use 2 instances of this movie clip..I think something is wrong in your projest you are using type writer in..

MVDM . you can use the html text. for new line you can enter “
” or you can use.”\n” in your text string.
This is a good file, it can be a little jumpy when you slow the speed down.

Mine only uses 5 lines of a paragraph and I need a bigger paragraph. It is supposed to take more lines?

When I try to publish the or preview the file I get this error no matter where I put the file—
“Error creating Flash movie file.
Be sure the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive. Also, check that the file name is not too long.”

fluidstudio, this happens sometimes when you zip a file on pc and unzip it on mac.
what you need to do is, that you open the fla, click on “publish settings” and specify the path to the swf and republish it again, and that would solve the problem. dont forget to resave your fla aftr that
Hi, I’m new to this; I’ve opened the file and hit F9 to see what’s in the action script panel. Didn’t see where the text actually is, in other words, how do i add mine if it has to be done through a.s.panel? Thanks for your help!

local, double click on movie clip “typer” to open it. first fame first line is where the text should take place. simply change the “green text” between ”” and you are don!
