Update:
Fixed the Yorkshire region as recommended. I also added the ability to make regions inactive or active, including Ireland. Ireland is inactive on the preview.

Map of the United Kingdom programmed using actionscript 3. All text is in one XML document for convenient an easy editing. Use html tags within the XML to format the text and add hyperlinks.

Change colors and sizes of the elements by editing the movie clips within the library.

Hi great map just what I was looking for. A couple of points/questions though:

1. Why is West Yorkshire in with North West and not Yorkshire? (The big hole centre left in the Yorkshire region)

2. Why is the rollover animation timeline based and not script based? Surely this would have been easier than manually creating timelines for each region and thus made further customising easier too.

Hope you’ll correct the regions on this fine looking map.

I will fix the map and add West Yorkshire map this weekend. I based the regions off of several maps and they were all different so I divided up the country the best that I could. All but one map had West Yorkshire as part of Northwest England. I figured making the animation timeline based would make it easier to edit for people who did not know actionscript that well. Please feel free to add any more corrections or comments that may improve this map.

Hello.

I wonder what options i can set from xml file and if purcased do we have all source files like ”.flas”, ”.as” files etc. to customize later.

Also i need to point a specific location on the map for example i need a gloving dot on berwick is that possible to do by using xml file. (by using coordinates or sth else)? If not, is it possible to add that location by using the source files not by xml.

Yes, you get all of the source files when you purchase. You would have to add the dots by adding the a “dot” movie clip within the “region” movie clip. You could do it via xml but you would have to add the script in the flash file that would allow this.
