Is it possible to include a third layer? A menu below the submenu on rollover?

Posted about 1 year ago

@Goops: no, it’s only two layers based.

thanks for a great file :) it was easy after all to arrange and move things around. two things i can t figure out are:

1. is it better to load the menu using loadmovie or make it all a movieclip and add it to the library of my main movie

2. what do i need to change so that on clip it goes to one of my main movie’s frames which will have the same name as the button label?

@harisk73: it’s better to use loadClip. Change getURL inside Actions.as with your function call.

i ve managed to load it but its functional behavior is strange.. when i run it by it self the menu works exactly as i want it.

when i load it to my main movie, as soon as i roll over the submenu buttons the buttons dissappear…it seems that the main level executes a rollout when i m over the text of the buttons…

i loaded it using loadMovie….do you thing that plays a role? Sorry I am not much of a coder…..that s why i bought your file anyway….

apart from all the above, this is a great file…thankyou

yeap it was the loadMovie that made the difference….thanks for your help :)

Hi!

I purchased your file and it works very well but when I rename and copy the files in my website directories (renaming also the xml file name in “actions.as” and the include files in the fla) the result shows a menu with the words “undefined” instead of the correct words.

I guess, there is a path somewhere I have seen but I can’t find it.

Could you please help me?

Thanks in advance.

I am very interested in buying this file or the XML Menu 7 but I need those to target a scene not a URL , could this be done? I only know basic AS2 Thanks for answering ASAP ! LP

Yep, it can easily be done by replacing getURL with goto scene or frame.
